Elegant restaurant dining room with tables and candles

In the heart of town

Tuscan cooking without shortcuts

Dining room, terrace, Vino Nobile cellar.

Our story

The Tuscany we know, with no shortcuts.

Osteria del Borgo was born from chef Marco Ferri's wish to tell the story of Tuscan cooking without weighing it down: local produce, contemporary technique, and portions meant to be enjoyed right to the last bite.

The dining room seats 40, with a terrace that looks out over the rooftops of the historic centre in summer. In our cellar we keep a selection of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, our own local appellation.

Reviews

What our customers say

“Cena eccellente in terrazza con vista sulla Val di Chiana. I pici cacio e pepe e il piccione erano perfetti, servizio attento senza essere invadente. Cantina con ottime etichette di Vino Nobile.”

FAQ

The answers you are looking for

How do I book a table?

You can call us or send an email: we'll confirm availability and time within the day. We recommend booking a few days ahead for weekends.

Do you cater for intolerances and coeliac disease?

Yes, the menu lists the allergens for every dish and includes some gluten-free options. Let us know when booking so the kitchen can prepare accordingly.

Are dogs or other pets welcome?

Small dogs are welcome on the terrace. In the dining room we consider it case by case depending on how busy the evening is: just mention it when you book.

Do you host dinners for groups or private events?

Yes, for larger groups and corporate or private dinners we put together a dedicated menu together with you. Get in touch a few weeks ahead to arrange numbers and dates.

Is there parking near the restaurant?

Montepulciano's historic centre has restricted traffic: the most convenient public car parks are just outside the walls, a few minutes' walk from the osteria.

Is the restaurant suitable for children?

Yes, especially for weekend lunches. If you have particular needs for young children, let us know when booking and we'll do our best to help.
